Mood Boarding
To establish the overall mood, creative cues and color-way for the website, I began the exercise of assembling various mood boards that have different and very specific tones to help the client decide the overall creative direction for the website. These boards include, but no limited to, fonts, colors, icons, creative treatments, photos, buttons, and more. With this process it ensures the forthcoming design is inline with the client’s expectations.
Web Design
Once we established the tone and creative characteristics in the mood board phase, I moved into the web design portion. I wanted to create a long-form home page with animations based on scroll math and hover effects to offer interest to the various sectors and projects that Govini boasts. The internal pages continued with full bleed photography and content components that could easily assemble a page full of content into digestable buckets via the content management system.
I also designed a full screen navigation that feels more “app” like than website.
